Take a little time in the New Testament scriptures and you will see the radical change that Jesus makes in people's lives!
Have you ever heard of the little man called Zaccheus (Luke 19:1-10), or how the woman named Mary Magdalene (Mark 16:9), or even the blind man named Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46-52) met Jesus? Without their MEETING JESUS, their life would have been a catastrophe! One of the most amazing stories in scripture that proves the difference Jesus makes in a person is found in Mark 5:1-20! The story is about a demon-possessed man who lived in the cemetery. The day he MET JESUS was phenomenal! The Bible tells us that this man was a lunatic! He would cut himself deliberately. He ran naked throughout the cemetery. He showed insurmountable strength; the people around him tried to restrain him in chains...yet he broke loose from them each time. THEN HE MET JESUS!!!
Demons began to speak from deep within his body asking Jesus to leave them alone! But Jesus saw the man behind the demons! He demanded the demons to leave the man, and so they did! The next picture we have of this man shows him sitting down with Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind. When he asked to travel along with Jesus when He left that region.... Jesus told him that he could not! Sound strange? Why would Jesus not allow him to come along? He told him to go home, to his people, to tell them all the great things that God had done for him when he MET JESUS!! Radical change, right? Well, that is what Jesus can do for anyone! Yes, you too!!!
You might think to yourself..."Well, it is great that Jesus did some miraculous things back then, 2000 years ago! What about today? Does Jesus do anything like that anymore?" Let me tell you the truth....He is still making radical changes in peoples lives every day! Within our church, you can meet countless people who share miraculous stories of the time when they MET JESUS!!! Alcoholics have been delivered from their habit once they MET JESUS! Marriages that were "on the rocks" have been transformed when the couple MET JESUS! One lady who grew up with a mother who practiced witchcraft had a miraculous transformation when she MET JESUS! She had lived in fear of death, living under a curse of her mother....but Jesus came to her in love! Her life has never been the same since the day she MET JESUS and entrusted her life to Him!
I am not sure what circumstances surround your life, but MEETING JESUS will change everything! The Bible says...."Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!!!" (2 Corinthians 5:17) Would you like to MEET JESUS today? You can!!
